So many cats…

October 25, 2009

So many cats, so little time. Here are a few brief updates on F.U.R.R. activities and rescues…

Betty & Miss Friendly

  • Last Wednesday, October 21, Terry took 11 of the feral cats and her foster dog, Nilla, to the Gaston Spay Neuter Clinic! It was, however, a bitter sweet day because one adult cat tested positive and a kitten that had previously tested negative was retested and was positive, and both had to be euthanized. But Nilla and the other cats did very well, and the cats have been released back with their caretaker, Betty!
  • By the way, Nilla, Terry & Mike’s foster dog, is going to be adopted by Terry’s parents who live on a horse farm! Yea!
  • We have a new rescued kitten named Cinnabon! Cinnabon (formerly known as Bingo), his siblings and momma cat were left on the door step of a veterinary office that works with Carolina P.A.W.S. Cinnabon is now residing in the Kitty Lodge waiting to be adopted. See Cinnabon and all the other kitties on the Adoptable Kitties page.
  • Terry is also socializing a momma cat and 2 kittens for some friends; the cats were found in a Waxhaw neighborhood, and the lady who rescued them is going to keep the momma cat, but the 2 kittens will be looking for their furever homes as soon as they get a little better with their social skills! They are both tabby & white and very cute!
  • I’ve finally updated the Happy Cat Tails page and added more photos, and I’m in the process of making a 2nd Happy Cat Tails page. I’ve also changed the layout of the Adoptable Kitties page, so check out both the Adoptable Kitties and the Happy Cat Tails!
