The Kitty Lodge

Before I describe this lovely kitty sanctuary, I want to remind you that all the kitties residing here are available for adoption, and some have been waiting a long time for their own furever home. Even though this is a safe and comfy place for the kitties, the kitties all need their own homes so they can sleep on beds, lounge around on sofas, watch TV with their favorite humans, and do all the other things that kitties do when they are part of a family.

Located in Waxhaw, NC, at the edge of a small patch of woods, the Kitty Lodge is a wonderful sanctuary for the kitties to reside while they are waiting to be adopted. The Kitty Lodge is actually a small barn that Terry has convereted into 4 rooms forfrench door1 the kitties.dividerdoor

As you enter, there are 2 rooms on each side. Each room is entered through a French door, and you will see some of the kitties run to the door to see who is there to visit them. On both sides, the 2 rooms are separated by a wall with a door with windows so the kitties can see their neighbors.

Each room is complete with AC & heat, a radio so the kitties can listen to music, and a window with a bird feeder outside for the kitties’ viewing pleasure.

The windows all have heavy duty screen on the inside so the kitties can take advantage of fresh air on nice days, and Terry doesn’t have to worry about them escaping!

The rooms are furnished with cat trees, scratching posts, perches, chairs with furry blankets, and of course plenty of toys for the kitties’ entertainment.

Terry has recently begun to hang photos of all her rescued kitties that have been adopted and are now living with their furever families. This is just a teeny fraction of the kitties with Happy Tails! I think, when she finally gets them all up, the walls will be covered from floor to ceiling!

I have 4 female kittens that are about 12 weeks old. I found these 3 PLUS 3 of their siblings in a dumpster behind my husbands work. They were only approximately 3 weeks old when I found them. They were scared and hungry and wouldn’t let us touch them for a few weeks. After HOURS of luring and playing with them with different toys, they are loving and playful with humans and want to have a forever home with a loving family. I have adopted out the 3 siblings and now just have these 3 gray females left. They are adorable and love to be pet and played with, however I have 2 cats of my own and 3 dogs. I simply can not afford to keep them any longer. Please help by contacting me and adopting one of these beautiful babies! Thanks
