Letter from MuddyCat’s Mom

Hi Terry,

Just wanted to send a few good pics of The Most Wonderful Cat in the World, Geoff, and we’re so thankful to everyone who’s been so kind in helping out with this medical costs.  Things happened so fast—within about 3 weeks he was pretty much incapacitated and there was just so little chance of doing anything to save him except help him feel comfortable and well-loved.  He was DEFINITELY loved!  Even stole my husband’s heart, who had resisted all of our pleas to even get a cat in the first place—probably because he knew that deep down he’d just be a big softie!Geoff/Muddy would melt even the hardest of hearts though, as obviously so many people knew.

We miss him; I miss him standing right at the door, waiting for me, every day when I came home from work; we miss his little chirpy meow; we miss him running like a maniac after his stuffed mouse.  But we’re really happy we had him while we did.
Thanks so much for your offer of another kitty—david and I are traveling on and off for the next few weeks, but maybe around the end of  the year, or New Year, we’ll be able to think about that.  I think we’re all still a little traumatized, too, at how sad his condition finally turned out to be.  But it was a good experience.

Take care, God bless, and thanks again!

    Dear Karen and Family,
I’m really sorry to hear about your loss of Geoff. This is very sad news, but I am so very glad that Muddy Cat (as I knew him!) had his own home and his own loving family for even just a short time before he passed on. I can see in the photos that he was happy and that you all loved him very much! Bless you for adopting this wonderful old kitty and for taking such good care of him.
    Debbie Gardiner
